Fingerprints were uses to solve a mystery from 1993. A pedestrian was struck and killed in 1993. At the time the individual did not have an identification, however the fingerprints were taken by police. The fingerprints were recently submitted to the National Institute of Justice’s Missing and Unidentified Person System database and a match was returned. Fingerprints are still one of the best ways to identify individuals. Read more through the following link.
